This will be a bittersweet episode, as it is Jim Hudson’s last episode filmed with Pete. Please share this episode as a tribute to Jim.
Pete Maina, Jim Hudson and Josh Tiegen are on the Hayward area lakes in the late fall, fighting the cold and also monster muskies, using a combination of live bait rigging and casting. This episode is scheduled to air on the NBC Sports Network on March 19 & 21, 2013
Pete Maina, is joined by Dustin Carlson and Dave Williamson, as they target September, pre-turnover muskies in the Detroit Lakes area in Northern Minnesota – using topwater and bucktails – with speed triggers!

Pete Maina puts the pedal to the metal in search of fantastic fishing on numerous lakes in northern Wisconsin. Riding along is veteran guide, Jim Hudson and muskie super fan, Rick Palmer. Lots of fish catching action and a special musical appearance from fishin’ rocker, Brian Schram round out this exciting episode.
Now here’s a great way to do two fun activities at once! No only can you fly a really neat helicopter, you can even fish while you do it! What a great way to catch bait. I think you’d need a bigger heli for muskies though…
These things are straight out of the movies! It’s amazing what creatures are swimming around – especially in the unexplored depths. I bet that thing could put some stress on your muskie tackle, but good luck getting you’re lures down that far!
